How to beat the heat?!

We are in the middle of a heat wave which does nothing for my morning sickness. I live in a Quonset Hut which looks like a metal covered green house so it gets very hot. We own one small air conditioner and I'm the only one working so I can't afford more. How can I cool down in all this heat so I stop feeling so sick and can function better at my job?

maybe you can pick up a small wading pool? Just putting your feet in might help.  Your LO can use it later on.

If you only have one a/c unit I would have it in your bedroom so that you can get a better nights sleep. Shut the door to your bedroom so that it's nice and cold in there. Maybe you can have fans in the other rooms so they're not super hot.

I'd rather come home to a nice cold room than a warm-ish whole house.

 I also love the kiddie pool idea and have seriously considered putting one in our living room lol

We don't have a yard it's about a foot of grass so there isn't room for a pool. I can definitely try ice cubes. Only three windows open and there aren't any screens they aren't normal windows so opening them lets in bugs. And we are waiting for the landlord to bring us our bedroom door back apparently they said it had water damage and they would replace it and yet I am still waiting.
