First of all wilburbud....I LOVE your new sig photo!!
And as for my weekend plans, I've got nothing! It's supposed to be rainy and gross here this weekend so I'm hoping to catch up on some laundry/cleaning/etc...fun fun!

We're having a yard sale this weekend. We were going to do today, Saturday and Sunday, but I realized yesterday that it was going to rain all day today. So today I'm just doing all of the final prep, and the sale will be Sat and Sun.
For your neighbour up north it's Canada day! This means we get Monday off, and I will be up at my family's cottage celebrating my dad's birthday! Do not feel like going to see fireworks with the crowds on Parliament Hill (I live in the capital and that's our white house type building) so I will be taking it easy this long weekend.
I know your day is July 4 but does that mean you get the 4th off work or do you get a long weekend instead?
My H is taking his dad to a golf tournament on Saturday so it'll be me, my son, and my MIL all day. I have no idea what to do since all I really want to do is sleep.
Sunday I am requiring a just-us family day, no ILs! Hopefully we'll go to the farmer's market, the park, and then a nice dinner.

I'm in the capital as well I didn't realize you were Canadian. With a 2 year old we will not be going to Parliament Hill - maybe a nice park or beach for him to play at and then to a friends BBQ - so glad we have Monday off!!
DH and I are going to a formal dinner tonight that is sponsored through his work. I'm really excited since we do not do stuff like this too often. DH even rented a kilt tuxedo and I managed to squeeze myself into a dress. The dinner does not start until 7:30..hopefully I have enough energy to stay up through it!
For the rest of the weekend, it is all dependent on the weather...which has been rainy and miserable lately. If it clears, we will probably end up doing a hike. Other than that I have a list of chores that I am slowly chipping away at.

Happy early Canada day Alinafed! Gotta love a long weekend eh! Out West we've got a temperature warning in effect so it'll start off quite nice but then end up in the 30's and possibly 40's in some areas. I plan on staying indoors if it gets that hot!!
I had fantastic plans for last weekend and ended up doing none of it for various different reasons so this weekend I just plan on catching up with some old friends, hanging out, definitely buying some maternity clothes (the selection of clothes I can comfortably fit into is getting pretty sad) and relaxing.
Vegetable plant shopping! We finally got our cucumbers and watermelons in the ground and turns out we have a bunch of room left over. Thinking about two different pepper plants and maybe something weird, stay tuned.
I just want this weekend to be quiet since vacation was nuts with a house full of family. A couch nap with dog is definitely on the agenda, I know I can get H on board for one of those too. Maybe take a few hours to go visit with one of my bff's and her new baby.

We have a busy weekend. It is my weekend to work. I babysit for a little girl in my home, every other weekend. Saturday we are all going to a friend's picnic at a nearby lake in the afternoon. I think it will be a lot of fun! The kids are going to have a blast. Sunday we have a birthday party for another really close friend's son. It's his 1st birthday I have to run out tonight for a gift. I'm still not sure what to get :-/
I'm in the capital as well I didn't realize you were Canadian. With a 2 year old we will not be going to Parliament Hill - maybe a nice park or beach for him to play at and then to a friends BBQ - so glad we have Monday off!!
No way small world!! That's awesome! I know my parents used to always take us to Canada day on the hill when we were little and I don't know how they did it! You have to BBQ for Canada day though so that is pretty classic and awesome too I will be doing the same!
Dishlyo - thanks for the Canada day wishes I assume this means you are a fellow Canadian so I will say ditto but if not then happy early independence day
It's silly, but I am most excited to send all our friends a photo of "The three of us" on the beach. It will be our big announcement!
Happy Canada to you too then - haha I have spent Jean Baptiste in Montreal so I feel like that's even better than spending Canada day there So funny how everyone moves that day there.
Also that is REALLY cute that that's going to be your big announcement. I'm going on vacation in two weeks to Europe - maybe I will steal the idea and take a pic of the "three" of us to put on FB as my announcement!
DH comes home from being in Maine for the week, and it's his birthday weekend! My BIL is coming home from NYC and we all are doing dinner with my mom and in laws and friends tomorrow night!
Date night with DH. Saturday I've got my cousins bridal party then Saturday evening getting together with some girlfriends for dessert and snacks ((and to share the big news!)) Sunday, taking it easy.
DD has been sick pretty much all week. We have barely left the house. I think I more miserable than she is because I'm so stir crazy. If she's not better this weekend, I'm going to have to go do something by myself. I really want to go shopping for a few maternity clothes. We are also supposed to have dinner with my in laws.

Fellow Canadian here - all the way out in Vancouver though. Supposed to be beautiful - can't wait for a bbq!!!
Sat- breakfast with a couple of old law school friends to catch up.
Sun- Meeting up with Bumpies from DD's BMB near Sesame Place (one is coming down for a trip from NY) and since a couple of us aren't too far we will do a little get together.
Somewhere in there I'll be cleaning and prepping for our 4th of July festivities (hosting family for a BBQ and my bro/SIL/baby nephew will be staying w/ us for a few days).
Taking DD1 and 2 to see Monsters University at the drive in Saturday night and shopping on Sunday. I'm hoping the weather is nice enough to spend a few hours in the pool.
Next weekend is going to be ridiculously busy so I'm hoping for a little relaxation at some point.
The husband is going away for the weekend for a bachelor party. While he is away I am going to get my hair and nails done tomorrow morning. Then I have bridal shower cocktail party in the evening. Sunday my sister and sister in law are coming over to help me paint the crib and changing table my sister is giving us.
Other than a 3 year old birthday party at a bounce house place, I don't think we have any plans.
I may make DH take DD to the party by himself since he was useless yesterday. He'll have to hang out with DD at the party anyway because I fully plan to use my pregnancy as a reason why I will not go down the giant slide a million times with DD.
Saturday I have a haircut and we are picking up the nursery furniture! On Sunday, our big dog goes to the groomer and DH and I are going to a movie. We are doing stuff, but it should be a fairly quiet weekend.
@wilberbud - the new pic is great. I love the yellow
As far as weekend plans are concerned, I've got nothing. The whole family has colds and it is supposed to rain all weekend. Boo.
DH and I may go see World War Z if we can get a sitter for DS, but I'm not sure I want to sit through a movie while having to blow my nose every 5 seconds. Gross.

I just bought books for our friends' son's first birthday. He's the only grandchild on both sides of his family so I figured he'd get a million toys from everyone else. I picked out a bunch of cute board books and called it a day.
Work today. Spending my lunch hour packing and cleaning. Meh. Meeting up with my parents tonight so they can watch DS for me this weekend.
My sister's bachelorette party is tomorrow, so we have a whole day planned. Some time during the day, I need to make it by Old Navy, grocery shop and pick up a couple of more things for the party.
Driving to my parents on Sunday [they live an hour away from my sister] to switch cars and pick up DS.
DH and I are packing, last minute shopping, and cleaning the house to get ready to leave for our trip on Wednesday. However, he surprised me last night and told me he's taking me out for a big date Saturday night. One of DH's clients gave him a $100 gift certificate to our favorite restaurant and DH got tickets to see an orchestra play music from "the legend of Zelda" video game. That's my nerd. Love him, but sometimes he forgets he's married to a classical violinist, lol.
Love your new siggy pic wilburbud! Beautiful family.
As for our weekend plans, vacation beotches! Leaving tomorrow and will be gone for a week. I have no idea what kind of service, or posting ability I will have so nobody panic. I know you will all be so worried about where I am. <---insert sarcasm font.

Hey! I'm in Ottawa too! And I avoid parliament hill as well...everyone else comes here and I get the frack out of the city. Too many crazy people downtown.
Happy Canada Day to you!

Yayy so many Canucks, and more specifically like 3 Ottawa moms on this board, that is awesome!
P.S. The fact that you said "frack" makes me wonder if you like Battlestar Galactica... that's the only place I've ever heard that term and not many ppl like that show!
