ETA: not Gracie mile. Autocorrect. Thank you very much! ( in Italian)
De nada I only know how to say "you're welcome" in Spanish. Haha
Stop speaking other languages AT ME.
Haha...prego! (Thank you.). Beyond that I've got vino, spaghetti, lasagna, lol. Actually, I have been repeatedly doing the first 2 units of Rosetta Stone for about 2 years now....I can name colors, food and clothing like a boss!
"Feeling judged by other people's decisions is an insanely ego-centric way to live."
me too. I try to tell my husband this all the time. He often worries about people's perceptions, and I tell him that no one is paying nearly as much attention to him as he thinks they are!
Most people are just trying to do what they think is best. If someone is honestly going to those lengths to make you feel bad about your choices, f'uck them anyway.

Ha! How do you like the RS program? I've love to get a good refresher in a couple languages I used to study, but they're pretty mad expensive, aren't they?
its pretty good. I need to stick with it longer. I keep getting so far, then I slack and have to start all over. I'm picking up a lot of nouns, so I am great at naming objects, but the articles and conjugations are confusing.
My biggest complaint with the program is also its biggest benefit. There is no English spoken at all while you are learning. It's nice because you just kind of figure things out by doing, at some point it just clicks. However, when you don't understand why something is the way it is, it is hard. There are online message boards, I guess I could use them if I was a little more dedicated.
They are super expensive! I think like $500 for the basic levels. It was a Christmas gift for the family from DH a couple years ago. I need to get on the ball, we're thinking of doing Italy in the spring and I would love to have some skills.
Re: Good article
Grazie mille.
