Vraechel:I prefer James. I like it just fine. Maybe nickname for James? Then he has the option later in life. Jamie sounds young to me.
I like it as a NN, and have known quite a few male Jamies. I don't love it on its own.
My high school boyfriend was named this, short for James. I always liked it.
I prefer Jamie for a boy, but only as a nn for James or Jamison.
PinkLillyLover:Not really a fan. nbsp;I much prefer James or Jamison.
mj.reilly:As a nn for James? I don't mind it.As a full name? I dislike it.
all of this!
I know men with the NN Jamie. Totally normal, albeit a little unisex, since I know a ton more women named Jamie/Jaime/Jaimee/etc. I doubt it will be as unisex in this generation.
I would use James as the full name though.

This. My sister is Jamie so it's always been girly to me. I'm not sure I even know a boy with the name. Love James and Jamison though!

My friend just named her son Joseph James and calls him Jamie.

I certainly knew male Jamie's growing up, some stand alone, some short for James.
If you like Jamie for a boy, I personally prefer it as a nickname for the traditional James :.
