    I was thinking it is hereditary too. I find I have a chunk to pick out with my nail everyday alternating ears...gross. Thanks DH!!

    Ditto. LO gets a nightly bath and wiping with a damp washcloth seems to help.

    I took my DD to the doc to ask this same question for fear she had an ear infection. One day I had a big glob of wax on my arm that had come out while she was napping on me! He said it was totally normal, though.
