I have a question as to where you ladies keep your BBT? I live on the east coast and right now are experiencing some killer heat, which unfortunately DH can't handle, so the AC has been on for the last few days. I have been keeping my BBT out on my night stand, for easy temping, at 4:55a when the alarm goes off for the gym, buuuut, the temps seem really low, that I am not sure if the AC might be affecting it? because the thermometer itself is cold to start with, should i put it in the drawer.. what do you ladies do?

My BBT also sits on my night stand so I can grab it easily. It gets rather hot here in Missouri, so we have to crank the AC. I honestly haven't noticed anything with my temps.
What are your temps? Have you gone through a full cycle temping yet? I'm just wondering if you were able to see a temp shift.
My temps for a few days were 97.23, then up to 97.75, and 97.85, then back down to 97.35 and 97.32. To answer your question, no I haven't gone through a full cycle, I am just trying to get the hang of it, and want to be sure silly little things like AC and other external factors could mess it up. We will begin actively trying next month, but I want to take this month to get the kinks out of this whole temping stuff. Sorry if it sounds silly.

All WelcomeI agree these temps seem typical. It may make sense when you can see it played out when you finish a cycle. I'm sure I thought the same thing when I first started temping a few years ago.
Mine's right next to my phone on the nightstand.
Those temps don't seem low to me. We have an air system that switches automatically between A/C and heat as needed. When the seasons are changing, my temps don't differ any more than when we are in the middle of summer or winter.

Mine is on top of my iphone so when the alarm goes off I cant forget to temp since the alarm is on my phone. We have the AC on at night and it has been super humid during the day.
It should not bother your thermometer since it is digital and it is off. I would not think it would bother it at all.
