My first positive OPK

Looking for some guidance from those more experienced in TTC than I:

I just got my first positive OPK on the Wondfo & CBE Digital this evening. I must've just had my surge because I tested with both this AM and Wondfo was almost positive looking but not quite there yet and CBE Digital had a negative result. But tonight both were positive.

My question is: how long do I really have to have sex from the time I get a positive OPK? Without getting too detailed, DH is a little worn out from last night (I've been anticipating my surge), and I dont know if it will happen tonight. Am I safe to wait until tomorrow evening or will that be too late? The directions on the CBE Digital say I have 48 hours but I'd like to get your opinions considering this is our first month TTC and its all new to me.

It's hard to say for sure. Some women ovulate after their first OPK and some ovulate after a few days of positives. Are you temping as well? That's the only way to really get to know what's "normal" for you, but that can always change anyway. Personally, I wouldn't force it. If you're both willing and able tonight, go for it! If not maybe you could compromise and try tomorrow morning! Either way, try not to stress too much. If you did ovulate soon after the positive, then you still had good timing because of last night

ETA: I just your chart. Duh. I would just keep using OPKs and having sex until you see a shift. Every other day is perfectly fine for TTC. Good luck!

My understanding is that you have 12-24 hours to conceive once ovulation has happened. Sperm can live a couple days in the reproductive tract. When in doubt, hump it out.

A lot of people just do every other day (EOD) during FW.  So, if you had sex last night and then tomorrow night, your timing for this month should be fine (assuming you O 12-36 hours post surge).

If you or him are not up for it tonight, then tomorrow will fit with the standard EOD sex and you should be okay with hitting your fertile window. Good luck!

Wht kind are te OPK'S? I use wondfo and the directions say you should ovulate anywhere from 24 to 48 after a positive and to have sex after 24 hours but before 48 hours.

HTH. It's my first month with this and I have sex 36 hours after my positive and that would mean I had sex the night I ovulated. Got to love fertility friend for provided a wealth of information.
