Canadian moms

I didn't know there were so many of you on here. DH is thinking about applying for a job in Toronto. We would only be in Canada for a year.  Does anyone live there? Any pros or cons of the city? We are thinking about having a child that year too. Could be an eventful year!

Not from there and don't live there now, but I have friends and family who do/have lived there. I've heard it's great in the aspect that there's always something going on, lots to see and do. Cons being the vibe of the city, I've heard even if you're used to city life in can be hard to adapt to life in Toronto because they're like their own little world.

I'm not a city person and don't live in Toronto but both my sister and my aunt live in Toronto and they swear they will never leave. My BIL and SIL also live just north of the city in one of the cities that make up the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) and they also love the city. I personally prefer Ottawa over Toronto but unless you a fluent in French finding work in Ottawa can be difficult.

Thanks! If we move to Canada our only choice is Toronto. He has heard great things about the job. Just not sure about the city.
