1st OB appointment today!

AND I got a peek at the babies again.  They don't usually do u/s on first visit apparently but since he didn't know if i was mono/mono or mono/di with the twins he asked if i wanted one (really? who would say no?!) and squeezed me in with his u/s tech.  There were clearly 2 amniotic sacs which means mono/di and less high risk than the other type.  Yay!  Heartbeats were 174 and 167 and both measuring 8 weeks 1 day.  I am so very relieved.  It's amazing, even though I just saw them last Friday I think I was more worried for this first OB visit. 

He referred me to a MFM due to a heart issue, ID twins, AMA, and MTHFR/PAI-1 so I was able to get in with them on July 9th and I will be 10 weeks.  Getting a high resolution u/s, genetic counseling (?) and a consult.  I go back for my next OB appointment in 3 weeks and he will continue to see my every 3 weeks instead of 4 because its twins.  Yay for more monitoring! Now having to wait the 2 weeks for the MFM is going to be the next hurdle.  Feels like we're constantly waiting for something, doesn't it?! 

Me (37) DH (39); PCOS changed to Unexplained, changed to DOR in 2012 (finally a correct diagnosis!); 
Started TTC 2009 with RE after 6 months.  
Clomid + Trigger x2; 
IUI + Femara x1,
IUI + Follistim x2;
IVF #1 (MDL) February 2013- BFN.
IVF #2 (antagonist) May 2013, First BFP of my life. 
Identical twin miracle BOYS (!!) headed our way- due date is technically 2/4/14 but c section is scheduled for 1/7!

    That is great that you are going to be monitored so closely! And nice to have some bonus ultrasounds!

    Great news about finding the membrane and having mo/di twins.  That should take one worry off your plate!  Also glad to hear that you are getting in with a MFM -- I had my first appointment with the MFM right about 10 weeks, too.
    Married 8/2008. IVF with PGD March 2013.
    3/22 ER: 25R, 20M, 15F. 9 genetically normal, and 3 survived to Day 5
    3/27 ET: transferred 1 embryo, beta 9dp5dt=163, 12dp5dt=639
    4/25 1st ultrasound at 7 weeks = identical twins with heartbeats?!!!
    PPROM at 31w, delivery at 32 weeks of two beautiful girls

    I'm so happy your first OB appt went well and you got to see the babies again. Yay for them being mono/di!! It definitely takes a bit the edge off! I hope the next couple of weeks just fly by :)

    I wear my lucky green socks to all my ultrasounds . Big believer they are helpful!!!

    Glad it went well! Isn't it such a relief to see that things on the u/s look good?
    Me:30 low AMH; DH:30 MFI (count, motility, morphology)
    2 rounds clomid 100 mg -BFN
    IUI#1- 25 mg clomid- July 2012= BFN!
    IUI #2 August = BFN!
    IUI #3 September = BFN!

    IVF #1 November - converted to IUI #4 due to poor response = BFN
    IVF #1.2 February- converted to IUI #5 due to poor response = BFN
    IVF #1.3 April- micro dose Lupron flare with HGH; 14R, 13M, 11F! Transfer of 1 day 5 blast on 4/30, 4 frosties. BFP! Beta #1 9dp5dt= 179; Beta #2 11dp5dt= 442; Beta #3 4106 Stick baby stick!!
