When I use my new bamboo inserts in pockets, they will leak before the insert is completely saturated. It will be soaked in the front, I have a little boy, but completely dry in the back third.
I have washed them at least 4 times, some of them more, so they should be prepped enough.
Anyone have this issue? Any ideas on how to fix it?

Re: Help with bamboo insert
Just curious, what brand of insert?
Could it be that your LO is peeing "faster" than the insert can absorb? Bamboo does absorb slower than MF. Although I have a pretty heavy wetter and we've never had this issue with bamboo, only hemp. The solution is to put a small MF insert over the top of the other insert. (Try something trim like a NB BG 4.0.)
Do you know that your pockets are working well (IE there's no build-up in the mirco fleece)? The other possibility is that the pockets are repelling, but I would think then the whole insert would be dry, not just the back.
This was my thought too. I pair a bamboo with a MF because the MF does the quick absorbing to wick moisture from the skin, and the bamboo ups the absorbency level.
You could also try folding the insert so that you have more absorbency where you need it.
Also, depending on the brand and the number of layers, you may just need a second insert.
I use them in my pockets, as well as laid in a cover, with the same results.
I was wondering if it absorbed slower, thanks for that tip.
I'm going to keep washing all of them like I have been at each wash. I throw the remaining clean ones in the load.
