Blog view question.

I started a blog yesterday. Yay me. 

I was looking at the 'views' page and there are several from a site called vampirestat.com.  I knew my blog would be 'out there'  but I am kinda creeped out that it is linked to a site I have never heard of.  Is there a way to block views from random sites like this?  

I am confused and before I start adding too much more I want to know more about why my blog is showing up on random sites.

I'm seeing the exact same thing on mine. I only started it a few days ago so I don't really have any advice. I just thought I'd mention so you knew you weren't the only one with these concerns

Its just a bot that scrapes info about your domain, so it can post your domain value on its website.

ETA: you can always add a robots.txt to disallow spiders/crawlers from indexing you site. More info on that here: https://www.robotstxt.org/

Don't click on it! As far as I can tell, there's no way to block it. Even if you could, another one would just take it's place. Or so I understand. Just ignore it and anything else that looks weird.

ETA: Or maybe you can block it. I had done a google search on it and most responses said it wasn't possible. Maybe try what PP suggested!

I just took a look at your blog and we are going to Wyoming next week! ....It is a little bigger trip for us...it will take us 10 hours to get to South Dakota and we will venture on to WY the next day !  So excited!

Sorry no help on the blog front. But have fun on your trip! Hubs and I are going to the Tetons in July hopefully, it's GORGEOUS there. And blog-stalking I saw that you're also going to Utah?! What part are you heading to? We've been in Salt Lake City for the past year - feel free to PM me if you have any questions about things to see in Utah that I might be able to help with 

 

We will be in North Ogden. I am curious if a trip to Park City is worth a stop?  We would like to do the bobsled ride!
