I'm CD3 and this will be our first month ttc. I have 6 personal training sessions left at a boxing/crossfit gym and am wondering if anyone has inputs as to whether it's safe to continue with training during 2ww, and possibly, first trimester? They're heavyduty exercises weight lifting, boxing, lifting truck tires, etc. I'd like to use my remaining training sessions but am more interested in having a baby clearly! hello, thebump.
Also, and this may be an obvious question, I'm new and I'd say a solid 75 of the posts I've read are people posting symptoms and wanting to know whether or not they're pregnantI'm confused as to why not just take an hpt? Am I missing something? I like the "do you see the line, too?" posts, but the, "my boobs hurt and my ankle looks fatam i pregnant" or, I smell like tacoswow!!! posts are bewildering.
Re: Intense Exercise during 2ww and possible first tri?
Maintaing a good exercise routine during and after your pregnancy is good for you and baby. I would consult with your Doc regarding the weight lifting and boxing. There are other ways to stay fit ONCE you become pregnant. During the 2ww however you should live your life as normal.
Personally I love when someone makes an am I pregnant post. The responses provide good humor for me while I'm at work.
You are my hero! That is so impressive and insane! Good for you!
I've been told you can continue to do the same exercises that you're used too while TTC and you can continue it when you are pregnant.
I've been doing personal training classes since Jan and was planning on continuing them while pg.

TTC since March 2013. BFP 4/13/13, blighted ovum discovered 6/6/13, m/c 6/8/13.
BFP 11/10/13, EDD 7/25/13 - stick little owlet!
Yeah, PP's are right. Just keep doing what you're doing and live life as normal. I knew two women who actually kept doing karate (to a certain degree) while 7-8 mo's pregnant, and just didn't participate in any sparring.
Once you are pregnant, you can have a discussion with your doc about how much exercise might be too much. It all depends on your body and current fitness level, and whether or not you are at a risk for miscarriage.
I do heavy weightlifting regularly as my exercise cardio is not my friend, I do some but not much. I plan on continuing throughout my pregnancy with my OBs input as long as I feel okay.
