Um...she just said what?

So I was getting a drink at Whataburger today.  The girl saw the babies when I opened my window.  Of course she immediately asks if they are twins.  Of course I say yes.  She then tells me that her brother is having twins and that they are fraternal but will become identical because they share a placenta.

Uh...so I'm not expert but if they share a placenta they are going to be fraternal...how?  And...how would fraternals magically become identical?  Is there something going on I don't know about?

Was there a chance my b/g fraternal twins could have magically become my b/g identical twins?  That would have been cool....not.

HAHAHAHA! Some people are just crazy... After I tell people I'm having ID's they ask which side of the family it's on... I say no ID's is a freak thing that happens and I say but my husband is a ID twin and they say oh so it's his fault.. NO I'm pretty sure I just said its a freak thing that happens!!! Wtf??

I'm just going to guess that she will be working at Whataburger for a reaaaalllly long time lol.  Maybe the two placentas fused together and she was just really confused?

 Ha!  Yep, try explaining it when your mom and father in law are both ID twins!!  People look at me like I have three heads.

haha - I had the opposite of this- I'm having ID twins and before I found out they were girls, when people would ask the sex, they would say "Ooh - maybe you'll get one of each" and I'd reiterate - "no, they're identical" after which a long silence would follow while they try to understand what my point was. My own mother even once said: "well, maybe if one is a boy, the other will be the girl version" **hand smacking forehead**

I love "the girl version".  I never understood asking the "are they ID" when the sex is different, there's at least 1 area that's no ID.
