Trying to Get Pregnant

TTC#3 ten days left to test....going crazy

I have 8 days left to test although I will be waiting an extra two days just to make sure. This would be our third child and I'm really hoping for a boy! My lo is only 4 months but I have pcos and only ovulate once a year and we want a LARGE family so we don't want to take any chances. I'm losing my mind ! How do you get pass the 2ww??? Any tips ladies?

Re: TTC#3 ten days left to test....going crazy

  • What did you do with yourself before TTC?  I find I'm pretty busy most of the time and just don't have time to sit around and dwell, life goes on if you know what I mean.

I would also suggest temping/charting, it could be especially helpful if you don't ovulate regularly.  Go to Fertility Friend and make a free account, then do the tutorials to learn how to temp and chart.  The Lillypie ticker (and really any other random app you might have tracking your periods) telling you when to test is crap, it can only guess based on LMP.  It won't know your body/cycles like FF will.

Do whatever you did before ttc.

Also, a 4 month old should keep you pretty busy.

  • I totally feel you! My son is 7 months, and even though he keeps me busy physically, I can't seem to get my mind off of TTC and it is driving me nuts. I just started a blog and that helped ease my anxiety. You should do it. It's fun! :)

  • Something I like to do with Finn that takes up a good chunk of time is doing a little photoshoot! Get a sheet or something and hang it on the wall, stick your baby in there, with props or whatever, and take lots of pictures. Upload them, edit them, make em fancy. Facebook!

Read your little one a book. Right now! Sing a song. Do some squats, kegels, sit ups. Play airplane with your baby (watch out for spit up!) Learn a new word, write a poem, play Solitaire.

  • @NEF Thanks its good to know someone else understands. Even when you have a baby you are still thinking nonstop about whether or not you're pregnant, I think its only natural. I love your suggestions and will give them a shot :-)

How do you know you only ovulate once a year? Are you charting your temperature?
