Almost lost my diamond (eng. ring) last night

My engagement ring was catching on my shirt, and was annoying me in general.  I have never had that problem before, so I looked closer at it.  One of the prongs was completely sheared off by the edge of the diamond!  I have a 4 prong setting, so the diamond was very precariously situated.

So thankful I realized something was wrong!  Off to the jeweler later this week.  Goodness!

Funny you posted this.....I had a prong come loose before and was so glad I found out before I lost my diamond.  A friend of mine was not so lucky!!!!  her husband was very generous in that he got her a replacement.  They didn't have insurance on it.  Note to self: you still need to get your rings insured!!!!  along with all the other big girl stuff you've been putting off (getting a Will drawn up, increasing my life insurance, etc)

 I just took my engagement ring and wedding band to the jeweler to be resized.  I figured that since my son is almost 9 months, my fingers aren't going back to normal and they haven't fit since last May.  I miss them!
