Backyard solution?

So, my backyard could not be more baby unfriendly.  We have a huge. Inground pool, no grass, large deck that gets blazing hot in the sun, and stairs.  I would love a large play yard type thing.  I'm thinking something pretty large that I could move based on where the shade is, and maybe getting a large piece of indoor/outdoor carpet to put underneath so he can play, or maybe one of those foamy mats.  DS is 9 months.  Any suggestions?  I can only find 2 on amazon and they look cheap and flimsy.

No clue for the play structure but we have an indoor/outdoor rug on our deck and it works great.

I need something to corral him, preferable that doesn't look like its made for dogs, lol.  His favorite deck activity so far seems to be eating the helicopters from the trees, it's exhausting.

You could get one that screws into your deck and place an adjustable umbrella near by. but from my experience, I wouldn't waste my $. After Ds turned one, he refused to be caged

Yeah, I want to go short term.  He's happy playing in a smaller space now, I can't imagine he would be next summer.  I need like a pack and play times ten....but with no floor.  Guess I'll just take my chances on one of the ones I saw on amazon.
