To all the people in the world around me who feel a need to try and freak me out...

1. I don't care how tough your labor was and I don't want to hear about it.

2. I don't care that your cousin only gained 15# and I look like a whale

3. I do think there will be a lot of good times to go with the bad times, so I don't need you to point at every crying kid and tell me what i'm in for.

Oh man, I completely agree! It seems like all my friends take delight in pointing to crying children and go "get ready!"- and totally ignore the quiet babies!

Amen! Especially to # 3!   I'm sick of hearing how diapers are sooo expensive, i don't think $70 a month is expensive. Oh and that I don't know what I'm going to want or need because I've never had a child before. No crap, let me figure it out. Ugh irritating!

Haha. I completely understand this feeling sometimes. I know I am a FTM but I have plenty of experience with children and I do not need you to point out to me that one day my child will have tantrums, or that labor is so painful and awful... Pretty sure I don't have a choice but to give labor now. lol.

Couldn't agree more. I have an obnoxious coworker who delights in telling me how tired I'm going to be when the baby comes and reminded me several times a week. until at one point a couple weeks ago I finally snapped at her "Yes I know I'm going to be tired! This is not news to me!"

I was talking to my friends mom about pregnancy stuff and all the things she said was so freakin negative!!

I told her I don't want an epidural and she laughed and said yeah right and wa looking at me crazy

I said I was going to breast feed and she was like hell good luck with that and all these other negative stuff

WELL DAMN !!! If your pregnancy was that bad next time think!!!!! Cause right now I'm happy and excited!

I should also add although I did hear one story from a friend. She had complications and now he can't have anymore babies. She's extremely lucky and blessed to have the one she has now. She loves her daughter and it makes me mad that there's other people who just made it seem like pregnancy was a straight up biiiiitch!

I'm also sick of all our friends and family members warning us that our house "isn't going to be nice, clean and organized" anymore.

Half of them don't even have children and their homes are disaster zones! The other half do, but use their children as an excuse to never organize or clean. Ugh.

Thank you!! I can't stand when people try to scare me as a FTM. I just want to say "no really, please tell me something that I don't know already!!" I know it is going to be difficult and a huge transition but I would do this all over again for sure, in a couple years.

The one that has annoyed me the most is something my mom said.  My mom and I don't see eye to eye.....and she's not happy I'm pregnant.  For one, I'm 40 and it's none of your business.  Yes, this is my 4th child and we are very happy.

My older three are 17, 14 and 9 (soon to be 10 in a couple of weeks.  My mom said "you will never have a life".  Funny.  My children are my life.

I'm 40+ and have to hear negative comments about "starting over" ALL. THE. TIME.  My children are 23 and 18.  I've heard everything from "Better you than me" to "How old are you again?"  to "What do your kids think about all this?"  to "Are you up for this?"

Yes! This is why I'm starting my maternity leave on my due date whether I go or not. I'm so tired of the comments, "You're still here?" "Are you sure you're not having twins?" My co-workers all have asked me if I'm going to be induced (not even 40 weeks yet) and all laugh when I say I'm trying to go natural and am doing cloth diapers...

When people start on these sorts of stories I always look at them and ask nicely before they continue if they think that it is either helpful or informing me of something I am not completely aware of. Most of the time they will stop mid story and blush from embarrassment.

People who are not currently pregnant should respect us and leave us all alone.... I am getting crankier by the day and don't give a crap who I yell at.....And if someone doesn't like it...oh well.. that's your problem... All I am concerned about is my little princess...
