Hit in back with Baseball

I was at my son's baseball game tonight and got hit in the back with a foul ball. Totally my back. I was chatting with another mom, thank GOD I wasn't turned forward, would have hit me square in the belly. Baby is moving and didn't leave a bruise. Crazy to worry? I'm 36 1/2 weeks.

  • I'm sure you're fine.

  • I'm sure your fine but if your worried call you doctor, it wouldn't hurt to be safe.  If baby is moving and your not bleeding, I wouldn't worry to much.

Yes, it's crazy to worry about about a foul ball at a kids' baseball game hitting you in the back.

  • If you didn't/don't feel baby move I would call. Otherwise I'm sure everything eill be okay. Maybe a little sore the next day.
  • Ouch! Glad you are okay!

  • I am sure you are OK. I don't know how old your son is but if he is a child the ball couldn't have been going that fast. I wouldn't call your OB unless you notice any out of the normal aches and pains.

  • OUCH! How are YOU doing?!!! Hopefully not a bad bruise! I'd think all those bones did their job, and protected you and the baby. You can always have it checked out, but I (totally without professional knowledge or experience) would personally think that as long as no symptoms and baby is moving normally, all is likely well.

  • Since it was just your back, you should be fine, especially if baby is still moving, you have no pain or bleeding.  However I might not hurt to call your OB just to be on the safe side.
