secondary IF grads

Our old board is dead. Each post gets one or two replies. I lurk and often want to chime in and sometimes do. It makes me sad. It was such a great place before and such a comfort to me. There have also been a lot of people who have called it quits and are going to stay families of three. I was almost at the end of my journey when I got pregnant. It just makes me sad. I hope they have great support IRL.

::Butting In::    I notice there are a handful of ladies on the IF board that are trying or number two. Maybe post something there inviting them over. Just my opinion.

Since I was never on that board and I am not on the secondary IF board I don't feel comfortable doing that.

That is a shame.  It's such an important resource for women in the very distressing situation of having a problem conceiving when they had no problem in the past.  I know it was a great help to me.  

I have been reluctant to post much over there as a grad b/c, not wanting to make anyone uncomfortable.

I have noticed it is slow over there too.    I made some wonderful friends and so thankful that a good handful are over here.  I was actually thinking that I would like a 2IF check in over here so I can follow us easier!  This board is overwhelming at first!  

I don't think that us posting over there is as big of an issue as say a IF grad with a ticker on the IF board, but at the same time realize on a bad day it could cause emotions.   I know a lot of members when I was there like it when grads came back and gave advice.  

Great idea about posting an info announcement on the IF board.  I haven't posted on there since before DS and just giving support to a few I know who post over there (IRL friend I recommended this site too).  So I am not sure I am the one to do it either.

I noticed that. It is so sad! I've never been active on any kind of board until that one and it literally helped me through some really tough times. It was very therapeutic! I also feel the need to chime in sometimes, but am scared to make anyone upset. Someone should definitely mention it on the IF board...although like everyone else, I am not the one to do so.

I just am taking a break from 2IF we are in a holding pattern maybe forever but I think it's always been a little slow. The IF board is so great, but I personally feel weird posting there because I had primary IF as well and when I had no kids, I never understood the heartache of trying for another. I thought I would be happy and relaxed with one. I feel bad posting about my infertility there because I know how those women feel and I don't want to seem insensitive to that. I'm not sure what my purpose is, but I hope the 2IF women can find more support within their board or move to IF with warm welcomes. As for me, I don't know where I belong...

At one point we wanted to define 2IF and I think we all decided it meant several things.  But basically any woman with IF who already has a child.   It didn't matter if they had IF the first time or not.   Basically, 2IF is women with a child(ren) that feel their family isn't complete and are trying again with treatments or without.  It really covers a wide range of us.  I think you should feel comfortable there.  I wish a few posters could get it moving again.
