Trying to Get Pregnant

hello....

Ive kind of been lurking on here for awhile.... I have so.questions about trying to.get pregnant and Im hopimg someone can give me some advice. I am on my second round of clomid but I am not being monitored by my obgyn at all, really. I use answer ovulation tests and have done ai using a known donor at my home. This cycle I inseminated on the day I got a positive ovulation test, the next day and then got another positive 2 days later and did a third insemination. Im wondering if I am doimg things right and if anyone else has experience with being on clomid with little to no supervision? I am on clomid because I have PCOS and I dont ovulate on my own. sorry for the long post!!!! TIA

Re: hello....

  • Stop taking clomid unmonitored. Run far away from your OB.

Having PCOS  does not mean you can't get pregnant without medication.

That's all the advice I can give with the information you provided.

  • I'm not on clomid myself but I do know you shouldn't take it without being monitored.

Sorry, I don't have much advice other than that. Good luck to you.

    This.
  • I don't have any personal experiences with Clomid, but from what I've read, given the risks of taking it, you should be monitored. Good luck to you.
  • Unfortunately many OBs don't do proper monitoring while putting patients on serious fertility medications.  Personally, I'd stop taking Clomid without being properlly monitored.  Find a Reproductive Endocrinologist (RE).  Have proper testing on you and your SO done.  Then, if it's the right decision, use fertility medications with proper monitoring.
