I did it!

I survived until bedtime. Pin a medal on me! DD is happily sleeping and I get to chill out. Heaven! I survived the meltdowns and the messy diaper. Now I need wine. Lots of wine!

Lol. Yeah, it was a looong day without DH. Normally I wouldn't complain so much. He'll be back late tomorrow night from his trip and then taking some vacation time next week so I'll be celebrating. No trip planned...just house projects.

Does he go OOT often? DH always has and sometimes it's great to have alone time at night, but some days were miserable. On rough days, it's just nice knowing he'll be home at the end of the night even if he isn't there during the day helping with the chaos.

  • Yay! I've got another 1.5, and I swear time has stopped.
  • I haven't read your other post but DD has been horrible today too and I've only been around here some of the day because I work 9-5:30.  I'm seriously about to lose it.  I don't even have wine or any type of alcohol because I rarely drink but if I had some I'd be drinking it tonight.

No, just every 2 or 3 months, but this time he was just gone two weeks ago. I mostly do fine, but I didn't sleep well last night and mixed in with DD being difficult it made for a long day.

I seem to remember you posting that you were considering a move to another country. Did I remember wrong or are you still thinking about it?

You remembered correctly, but our plans changed due to my health. Things went downhill quickly while we were tying up loose ends for the move. And I'm having hip replacement surgery soon. We still want to move in the future, but it will be somewhere in the states. We'll pick a place with nicer weather than where we currently are at least.

I'm sorry to hear about needing surgery. That must be tough. Hope it goes well!

Moving is stressful enough without health problems or without changing countries. You could still visit Europe when you're in better shape. Plus, the US is so diverse in culture, climate, etc. There are lots of cities I'd love to try moving too if someone else did the moving for us. I hate packing and unpacking boxes.

Thanks. We'll probably take a bigger trip after I am in better shape. DD is dying to go back to Ireland. We have packers and movers, but moving is still a PITA. I'm still excited thinking about where we could go. They are some amazing places here in the states.
