Yep! I think we're doing an animal/monkey theme. We always say he's our little monkey. Something small I think just at a hall or something (our apt is too small). I can't believe it's coming up so quickly!
I haven't thought about too much but I just went to a 1st birthday party that was super cute. It was an under the sea kinda theme. I'm not sure we will do a full blown theme just lots of fun colors and some of LO favorite things.
We probably won't do anything except let her eat some cake and say Happy Birthday. I think I am going to try one of the cake recipes off Wholesomebabyfood.com.
Going to do a general fall theme and tailgate style food and have misc college football on as my family is very into that. Good thingthe home team is away on Ds bday!
I made a happy birthday banner with scapbook paper which was fun. I like doing stuff like that.
We are more planned then I wanted to be because we are competing with a lot of other people for dates in the two weeks of her birthday. Then we found out the cake gal we wanted to use was booked solid through August. So we just went ahead and dove in. We are doing a garden / beatrix potter theme (its really beatrix potter but our cake gal was all freaked out about matching the characters exactly (She's new) - so we are doing a garden theme and we'll put out her stuffed animals and porcelien collectible beatrix potter items (I collected them as a child too)
DS B-day is around the same time as our small towns fall fair, so a lot of my family and friends from out of town (5 hours away) will be around for that weekend!
I'm sure the theme will end up being camo {for DH} We'll just keep it simple...a cake done by my favorite cupcake store and probably have a pig on the spit or BBQ.
I am thinking a pumpkin patch theme. She is a halloweenie and I think I will save the halloween themed parties for when she knows what is going on. I love this website for party theme ideas - https://www.karaspartyideas.com/2011/10/pumpkin-patch.html

I was born on November 4th and every year had a Halloween Birthday Party. It was the best.
We are also doing a fall/pumpkin patch theme. Cider, donuts, lots of apple treats...and DH has a John Deere tractor that we are going to hook a wagon to so we can take the kids for "hay rides" in the back yard.
I wanted to do a fall themed party with fall themed decor and food but I live in FL and it's still usually hot in October so I didn't think that would work. So I've decided to do a pink and yellow 'you are my sunshine' brunch. I'm pretty excited about it but not ready for her to be one yet!
I have started thinking about it because of guest accommodations. I have three people flying in and several driving in, so I have already planned the date of the party so people can buy plane tickets and the like. Beyond that, I have thought about it but haven't come up with anything amazing. My ideas center more around what pictures I can stage than a party theme, though. I think the party theme will probably be, "Delicious Food," lol.
