Baby Names

City names

If I have a Jackson, I probably shouldn't use the names London, Cheyenne and the like if I have a girl, right?

Re: City names

  • I probably wouldn't make the "cities" connection between Jackson and Cheyenne because those are normal names.  But I'd avoid London for sure regardless.

Unless you want to be like the move Four Christmases where they were named after the cities they were conceived in ;-)

  • I guess I never really associated the name Jackson as a city name until you just mentioned it.

City names aren't really my style but maybe there are others like me who don't consider Jackson a "city name."

  • I love the name London for a little girl! My nephew's name is Memphis. :]

  • We have a Kennedy, and we won't use Madison, Reagan, Taylor, etc.

You could, of course, but I personally wouldn't.

  • You can do whatever you want if you love the name.
  • I know someone with a Jackson, Brooklyn and Hudson, it works for them

I wouldn't side eye your names
