S/O music...

Where do you get yours?  I don't use an iPod, iPad, or iPhone so iTunes won't work for me, correct?  I know I can buy MP3s off of HMV's site but their selection is fairly limited.  Amazon.ca doesn't seem to sell MP3s - just the actual album.

Any suggestions on where I can buy MP3s?

Re: S/O music...

  • I pretty much just listen to Spotify at work. I used to buy a TON of CDs (like, a ton, even after no one was buying CDs) but I really don't have a place to listen to them. I'm in the car like once a month max. Spotify is awesome for while I'm at work. I've been meaning to get the app on my phone but I haven't yet.

ETA: You can use iTunes without Apple products.

I have a droid so I use google play but i think anyone with a google/gmail account can use google play as well. It's web accessible so that's the best part, I can play all my music on my phone, or at work, or home, or anywhere with a computer.

I have a droid too - I didn't realize Google Play had music.  I'll check it out - thanks!

If that doesn't work out for me, I'll try iTunes.  For some reason, I thought the music came in an Apple specic format that wouldn't work on regular MP3 players.

  • Loading the player...
  • Amazon MP3 on my phone, Pandora as long as I'm near WiFi, and Sirius radio in the car. I also listen to digital books via Audible.

Yup! I love it. There a free song of the day which I pretty much always download and then the prices for CD's or songs depends on the artist and how new it is. They have discount albums for like 4 or 5 bucks that i grab all the time.

Go to your "Play Store" App. You can search by artist, song title, etc.

Always preview to make sure the song you buy is the one you're thinking it is. I've made that mistake when I get excited and hasty!

    Thanks!

  • Beatport.com is specific to the type of music I most often listen to (electronic music), so if I buy MP3s, I usually do it there. I use Amazon for everything else.

If I don't need the actual MP3s, I'll download from Spotify to my device.
