Trying to Get Pregnant

NTTGPR Tattoos

So one of my friends got a back piercing yesterday...which I think is weird and pointless but some may say that about tattoos so to each their own...anyway, I am obsessed with getting a tattoo now. If I didn't have plans today, I would probably go get one.

I want to get this:

And get this under it later, when I have kids obviously:

So here's a GTKY: Do you have/want a tattoo? What is it? Pictures if you can!

Re: NTTGPR Tattoos

  • This was my first tattoo, I designed it myself and I still love it!

And my sister and I got these tattoos on her 18th b-day.

    Tattooing is such an addiction!

  • I used to want one, but I never could find anything I loved enough to want to look at the rest of my life. Hell, I have a hard time committing to avatar or siggy pictures. Plus, I just don't think I'm "cool" or stylish enough to sport a tattoo.

I really like the the ones you posted, though. I just don't think I could ever pull them off.

All of this. I've considered getting my dad's signature tattooed on the inside of my wrist under my watch, but I can't get past the pain factor.

I have a friend who has her twin's names and birthday tattooed above her C-section scar.

Wrist tattoos don't hurt that much at all, and since they're generally small, they don't take too long either.

I have two. One big one that crosses my shoulder blades with roses and grapes and stuff and DS' name on my left inside wrist.

  • I have two. The Japanese symbol for "tooth" because I'm a dental hygienist. It's on my lower back. Yes, your typical Asian character tramp stamp tattoo. I like to think mine is less cliche because it has more personal meaning. Humor me. ; The other is a block O for my alma mater, ohio state, on my ankle.

I like both but neither one is particularly feminine. I want something colorful and girly on my foot, just haven't decided what yet. I also want something to symbolize my weight loss, maybe something for my mom. Tons if ideas floating around, nothing concrete yet.

  • If I were not a chicken I would get one on my foot, but I am, so I doubt I ever will! Haha...my sister has one on her foot and wants to get matching tats, but I can't muster up the courage, and DH doesn't like them [on me anyway].

I had a Kokapelli henna tattoo on my foot once a few years ago and liked it, so I would either get something similar representing music [since I'm a music teacher], or something representing Christ or a Bible verse.

    Someday maybe!

It took me two years to decide to get that one on my foot. I always tell people never to get a tattoo unless it means something to you. Both of my tattoos have meaning and every tattoo I get in the future will have meaning. I can still look at my tattoos and be glad I got them.

    I love this!!! I'm a dental assistant.

I have 9 tattoos, very addicting. I would want my last tattoo to be on my foot. The only tattoo that made me cringe was the one on my hip. Which is the reason why I still haven't gotten the one on my foot being that it's nothing but bone.

  • I want one, but DH doesn't like them. I also think I'd want him to get one with me, and get matchy ones, but something discreet. I'd love to have a Hebrew word on the side of my foot, but I don't know which word exactly.

Like a few other pps have said, I'm not sure I'm cool enough to pull it off, but I've been told it doesn't matter if you think you're "cool enough"; if it matters to you, that's all that matters.

I just hope I can eventually convince DH to get something with me sometime. That would be so much fun and meaningful!

  • I have a strawberry on the side of my stomach, above my hip. Wasn't thinking about pregnancy when I chose the location, I guess! I have pictures of it stretching with my stomach. It survived, though. Not ruling out the possibility that it will need to be touched up before I'm done having children.

I also have a blue bird on my foot.

I have a design sitting with an artist right now- I'm just waiting for her to call! I'm getting this figure, with a slightly modified tail. This is going on my upper middle back, just under my neck:

    image

  • I have one on my hip that really needs to get touched up. Or just removed. I haven't decided.

Then I'm going to be going to get Romans 12:12 in the "official" USAF font on my calf.

  • I just had this one finished. I got the armband underneath of it 18 years ago, and it never felt "artistic" enough or finished. So I found an artist, gave her a swatch of fabric with a flowered paisley pattern and told her "I like the lines of this", and she ran with it. I'm very happy with it, though I'd like to go back for some more shading.

Not going to lie, I cannot read what that says! One way says "One love" but the other just looks like jibberish to me. I like the idea of a tattoo but I can't think of anything I would like for the rest of my life.  Maybe my baby's name when I have one.

It does??? I would have never figured that out! The last letter looks like a "g" to me. I like the idea of something that reads differently depending on how you look at it. I've seen it a few times, that one is just a little hard to read.

  • I have two. One star on the back of my neck that I despise and been thinking of covering up or adding some stuff...haven't decided yet. My second is a word on my right inner wrist, this one I love since I share with my H..its a saying we have when put together!
