Oh joy- Hemorrhoid and due in 3 days

While showering last night, I discovered a small hemorrhoid. I haven't been straining at all lately- in fact, I've had soft BMs for the past few days which has made the area a little sore, but that's it. It's not painful, yet, just more uncomfortable and embarrassing. Now I'm worried about it getting worse- especially with labor any day now.

What should I do? I plan to call the Dr. first thing Monday morning but, what should I expect him to say? Do they go away on their own? Do the pads/creams help to reduce the size? How long does it take to fully heal?

I already googled everything I could but as usual, much prefer the responses/advice from you ladies!

I had a small one and bought some tucks pads and it was gone in a day or two. I was impressed.

But don't worry, tons of pregnant woman get them in the third trimester and I've never heard of it causing a complication. You'll probably end up getting a few more during the actual delivery. Just another joy of pregnancy.

With both pregnancies, I got one or two and then when I delivered the kids, they got worse. To me they felt HUGE but both times, the nurses would check me and be like "oh, that's nothing!". Honestly, unless you're really uncomfortable, there's no need to call your OB.
