After having DF look through the long list of names I had been working on lately, here is what we are left with..

Girls:

Hazel  (family name)

Willa  (my favorite)

Penelope  (I'm a little worried about the Kardashian factor)

Adelaide  (DF's favorite, but I'm worried about the popularity of Addie/Addison)

Middle name would be Jean.

 

Boys: 

Nolan  (DF's favorite)

Everett

Silas 

Middle name would be Dean

 

Which do you love/hate/like? Middle names are family names. Other suggestions are welcome.

I love Willa Jean. For a boy I like Everett Dean

I don't love the flow of Nolan Dean. Otherwise, it's a wonderful list! You really can't go wrong with such a great list of names.

G: Hannah, Avery, Audrey, Ivy, Lorelei, Savannah  

B: Thomas

eta... Edited list of suggestions after seeing that you already have a Claire. I love Claire and Willa as a sibset!

Hazel is amazing, so classic and no one has that name anymore.

Everett is a favorite of mine personally. Like the middle names for both.

Love Willa Jean! I also love Adelaide & Penelope. But if your SO is on bord, I'd pick, your fab, Willa Jean!

 If not, Adelaide is a classic name regardless of the modern takes floating around & Adelaide Jean is pretty.

I'm assuming a Kardashian named their child Penelope? I don't think it matters unless you are an avid Kardashian fan.

I like them all except Adelaide..it reminds me of koolaide and at this moment makes my stomach turn.

I think Willa Jean sounds great! I also like Hazel, then Adelaide and Penelope last.

For boys my favorite is Nolan and then Silas.

Yay! I am in love with Willa and for the boys I'm leaning more toward Silas. I feel much better with all the positive comments about Willa, a few of my friends had me questioning myself. Thanks everyone for the feedback!

Just an Fyi that there is a character in Beverly Cleary's Ramona books named Willa Jean. I like Silas Dean a lot!

Girls:

Hazel  (family name) -- I know it's a family name for you (it is for me too), but I just can't like Hazel and I can never look at an innocent baby and say "she looks like a Hazel"

Willa  (my favorite) -- I prefer it as a nickname for Wilhelmina, and tend to think of the author Willa Cather

Penelope  (I'm a little worried about the Kardashian factor) -- my favourite of your choices and I think it sounds great with Jean

Adelaide  (DF's favorite, but I'm worried about the popularity of Addie/Addison) -- it's a city to me, one of my favourite cities in the world, but still, I expect it to be followed by "South Australia"

Boys: 

Nolan  (DF's favorite) -- this is one of the surname turned first names and while I usually love that trend, I can;t quite get on board with Nolan

Everett -- the least worst of the options, but still not a one I would pick.

Silas -- Marner?  I only think of the book character.

I'd head back to the drawing board for boys names.
