Do you throw out temps if you've woken a lot through out the night? DD is going through a bad sleep phase right now and gets agitated a few times throughout the night. She puts herself back to sleep, but I wake up every.single.time. This morning, she woke me up at about 4:30 (plus a few other times throughout the night) and then when I woke up at my normal time (5:30) I was so groggy I forgot to temp. I went to the bathroom and was about to brush my teeth when I remembered. I temped about 5-10 minutes after waking from less than an hour of sleep. I'm 9 DPO and had a big temp drop this morning. AF isn't due until Tuesday. Should I throw it out?
Re: Temping ?
I'm in a similar boat. I normally just temp at my usual time, even if I've been a little wakeful. This is my first cycle charting, but it seems to have worked.
This morning, though, I was super awake about an hour early, so I just temped then (hence the open circle).
Here's what I figure- no one actually gets 3 hours of uninterrupted sleep. The normal sleep cycle for an adult is an hour and a half. People just wake up to different degrees. If I'm awake enough that I'm thinking, "This is going to interfere with my temping later!" or enough to actually look at a clock, I temp then. If I'm just resettling because LO was awake, I go back to sleep and temp at my normal time.
HTH
This is my opinion too.
I rarely get 3 hours of sleep due to DS sleeping in our bed and he is restless in the morning hours. This is my first cycle charting so I guess I I'll wait and see. I feel like my individual temps may be a bit off but the overall pattern of the chart is there.
::high fives for charting while bedsharing::
