I'm over Aidan too, though before it exploded I felt like it was a nice solid name. What kills me is the popularity of Liam. It's nickname for William and for me, it's the same as telling me you named your kid Bob instead of Robert.

That's the thing. Liam is not a nickname for William, it's William in another language. Liam is Irish for William. It's a completely different name. So it would be like naming your son Joseph and calling him Jose (insert Spanish accent sign...I can't do that from this keyboard!)

My boyfriend's name is Aidan and his brother's name is Liam. I love that they are unique for 30 year olds but I agree Aidan is the new Madison. Four out of five kids under the age of 5 have these names!
Re: (Untitled)
They are.
And Liam, Jackson (Jaxon!!), Jack and Jake. All fine names (well, except for the jacked- up spelling of Jackson). Pun intended.
In my neighborhood, these seem to be the only names people can think of for a boy.

Ugh. There's a Jaxson at the kids' daycare, and it always makes me cringe. Also not a fan of the uneek spelling Jayke.
