Someone in another thread posted about GF diets, to which someone else posted a link about a fertility diet.
This made me curious- how many of you are eating differently while TTC? My common sense was telling me to avoid things that I know are bad for me, but I haven't been eating foods specifically for TTC.
Re: Fertility Diets?
This is what i've done as well, just to get myself a bit healthier. Try to shed the unwanted weight, get off caffeine and try to get more exercise. I'm the one who posted that link in the other thread and it's not so much a 'fertility diet' as just a long article of the impact of diet on fertility (that and a million of other things
).

This. I'm trying to not eat as much crap food as I used to. I've also switched from coffee to tea to try to get used to less caffeine. I used to enter food and calories into an app and I was super obsessed about staying at or under my calorie goal. Then I thought about when we do have kids and how I don't want them to be obsessed with calories like I was. Instead, I'm just eating as healthy as I can because that's the kind of example I want to give my kids like candrew05 said.
I unintentionally had to change my diet last year at this time due to PTSD related IBS attack. Ended up losing weight to a healthier size (I was a bit overweight) and now am just trying to maintain my newer size and continue to eat my digestive friendly diet to avoid another crappy few months like last year.
I have noticed DH has been eating healthier and he started running (O.O) a week after we started TTC so he's obviously wanting to be a bit healthier before we have a kid.
Well, if it makes you feel any better, the OP on the other thread linked an article by Harvard that says there is supposedly some benefit to eat full-fat dairy products once or twice a week. Sooo...That's about all I needed to hear to justify a run to the store this afternoon for ice cream.
I have upped my water and green tea intake, but otherwise I am maintaining the diet and exercise routine I was on prior to TTC.
I did briefly look up diets designed to lower your vaginal pH, but soon realized that eating healthy was enough to handle that issue.
