    To me, Callie is a legit name whereas Cali is just short for California.

    If you must use Callie as a stand alone then spell it this way.

    I absolutely adore the name Calla but DH doesn't like it. Otherwise, I prefer Callie.

    I agree completely with this. For some reason I'm stuck on wanting 4 letters like DD's name, but I really do like it better Callie. Thanks for the opinions all!
