LO is SO loud when sleeping

LO sleeps so restlessly and loudly, that I cannot sleep. She moves around, grunts, squeaks, etc. pretty much non stop. I cannot get a wink of sleep when she is so noisy. Lately, I have been leaving her next to my husband upstairs and sleeping on the sofa, but that isn't ideal considering I am the one that has to feed her. DH has to come downstairs and wake me up every time LO is ready to eat. She is 3 weeks old, and DH and I still can't figure out a "schedule" that will work for us. Any advice? I am in DESPERATE need of sleep.

Re: LO is SO loud when sleeping

  • I really hate to put it like this, but my LO is over a month old and you just kinda get used to it. The only real solution is putting them in their own bed in their own room. My LO is pretty loud too but we have just gottb used to her!

That was my first son! He was also a horrible sleeper who woke up every 1 and 1/2 for 10 months.  We put him in his own room in his crib about 4 days after we came home.  He was just too loud and I needed some sleep!

  • Earplugs? I mean you sleep with earplugs and your H can wake you up when it's feeding time. I haven't tried this but if you really need sleep

  • If you don't feel comfortable putting LO in a different room, how about trying a sound machine. Todd is in our room in a bassinet. We have a white noise sound machine on and it has been awesome! We had no noise with DD and I remember sleeping was so much harder then.

  • Our LO does the same thing lol!! He grunts and squawks all night long keeping DH up but not me. We have tried putting him in his own room, but we can still hear all his noises through the baby monitor. So in our room he will stay until he starts sleeping through the night. Hopefully DH will just start to be able to tune it out like I do. :)

  • I wear ear plugs AND and a sound machine. That covers most of the grunting noise, but I still hear the cries before my hubby notices, who isn't wearing earplugs. I think as the momma, we are just dialed in to their noises.
