A lady I know just had a baby girl and named her Po.sey period to make it ungoogleable. What does everyone think? I can't help but picture a stripper from the deep south. Older brother is Wesley.

It's NMS at all, but its not terrible. I don't think "stripper" when I hear it. Now if it was something like Destiny or Diamond then yeah, I'd think stripper. Posey is more cutesy sounding.

I have no real problem with the name. It was the name of a character in my favorite book as a child, Ballet Shoes, so I only have good associations with it. Now, I'd never name my own child that, as I don't think it'll age super well.

I will be the only person on here with this association but I'm a nurse and when you have to restrain a mental patient you use arm and leg ties called posey restraints. Not a baby name I would pick. lol.

its ring around they Rosie but it does say pocket full of Posey.

Flower name to me just like Rose, etc.

This. But for some reason I thought of her too even though its her last name.

I kind of like it. It's cutesy and I'd never choose for it my own daughter, but I wouldn't side eye it. I'd think it was kind of a cool choice.

I like it (but I have a Piper since it's been compared lol). Posey would probably be a little too out there for me to use as a first name, but I like it for the middle name spot.

Although Posey is the name of a company that makes restraints (I'm an RN) so when I hear posey I think crazy, combative, climbing out of bed patient... so that kinda ruins it for me.

The mom is a huge giants fan! Crazy! I'd never heard of this guy. Posey is better than Buster I guess ;

And I seem to still be pretty alone in the stripper mind picture, lol, but i still imagine a blonde stripper in overalls! Maybe i just have a warped mind lol.
