What's missing?

Hello All,

 I've been MIA for the last few days because of you know the usual.. work, I took a mental day on Friday ( a much needed one at that).

 I'm excited however for all of our impending arrivals. Catching up on the board and seeing all the new little faces gets me teary eyed. It's almost show time for us!

So I'm one of the later shower girls- mine is this weekend. I'm just wondering for those of you who had a shower what kinds of things did you not get at your shower that you had to go out and purchase with your completion coupon?

I registered for what I thought "I needed" but am open to possibly adding things.

So what was missing after the shower for you?

Stuff to take care of the girls: creams, bras, pads/gel padsI didn't get anything like that for my shower. We got our stroller system, a pad for protecting the cars seat material from the carseat. We bought lots of batteries!!! And I didn't get my diaper bag so I ordered that, and a baby book off Amazon. Safety kitI'm a nurse you think at my work shower I would have gotten one lol but I did get a lot of diapers there. Didn't get any wipes thoused a lot of coupons I had been saving!

We didn't get any bottles or newborn diapers! Got plenty of 1 and 2s but no NB at all. We didn't get our changing pad/cover either. We did however get 3 sets of bumpers and crib bedding sets. Way to go BRU registry...

Dont feel bad. My shower isnt till the 23rs when i will be past 37 weeks. And from the looks f current tests it might be canceled due to delievering before the shower.

omg! I dont think I registered for burp clothes! Crap, I knew I forgot stuff.:::Runs off to update registry:::::lol...

Oh well, I will concentrate on having fun and staying in the moment. We were hoping to have this sooner, I guess my only regret is feeling like I need more energy and that I have officially started to waddle.Darn it.

I figured I wouldn't get personal items, I've pretty much got most of those for myself.

My shower isn't until the end of the month (I think) It is a surprise technically but DH has dropped some hints. So it is either the weekend of the 22nd or the weekend of the 29th. I will be 36 or 37 weeks by then. One thing he told me was that originally the girls planning it were going to have the shower located 3+ hours away from where we live. Not terrible obviously but, my commute to work is about 2 hours each way and I am really struggling with that... So DH was able to talk to the girls and they have changed the location to someplace much closer. (I just really hope it isn't here!)

So all that being said, I have no idea. Just that you certainly aren't the last to have a shower!

We didn't get any bottles either!  People must not like giving bottles.
