I work at a daycare with the infants and a couple of the moms have given me hand me downs from their boys. Do I write them thank yous or just express my apprecition, their generosity in person?
A woman that I work with has given me a couple of hand-me down items. I think that she picked them up at yard/garage sales. I gave her a thank you note just because I thought that it would be a gesture that would mean a lot to her. I don't think that you would have to be certainly, would be no harm to do so.
I would, and have, write thank you notes. It's a small gesture that goes a long way IMO. One friend that gave me a TON of expensive stuff I also gave a gift card to Papa Murphy's.
