PR day parade

I'm probably speaking too soon or maybe my neighbor has become extremely gentrified since last year but today is the Puerto Rican Day parade and its pretty mellow in my hood. I hear some screams from a distance and horns being honked but nothing crazy like its been the past 5yrs.  This is usually one of the days I dread the most. Along with St Pattys Day, NYE, and Halloween. My neighborhood is hugely hispanic and they usually go NUTS. The street just south of me is actually named Avenue of Puerto Rico.  They are super serious with their pride. I'm probably Jinxing myself. I hope they don't go cray while i'm watching Game of Thrones tonight.

Interesting.  My DH is Puerto-Rican and a displaced New Yorker now living with me in Boston.  He desperately wanted to go to the parade this year.

haha possibly.  But he still has plenty of buddies who are causing a commotion without him
