gas pains

DS is getting terrible gas pains pretty often. I burp frequently and have tried gripe water and gas drops, but many evenings he just screams until he gets a lot of it out? I do have a fast let down recently. I drink 1 cup of coffee a day, and drink diet coke sometimes too. I don't drink or eat a ton of dairy. Anything you have noticed that bothers your LO?

Re: gas pains

  • This is my second extremely gassy baby, with my first DD we tried everything even me cutting out all dairy and nothing really worked. She eventually just outgrew it. My second DD started out on day 2 with bad gas. I read a bunch of reviews of Colic Calm gripe water and we tried it this weekend and it instantly worked. I'm praying that it's not a coincidence, we only have been using half a dose to start but as soon as we give it her whole body relaxes, it's been great.

  • Hummus, broccoli, and caffeinated sodas seem to make my LO more gassy and fussy.

  • DD got pretty gassy if I ate eggs and onions. If I eat something that has a lot of those in it, I just give her some drops right away before we start nursing. I can't see how old your LO is, but my DD is 10 months and is getting less gassy when I eat things like that.
