Late Term and Child Loss

I am ready for the sun to come out

When it rains it really does pour. We lost our Alice a little over two months ago, then we learned my husband failed his licensing exam (by just a few questions) mid May. He was in a car accident several years ago and suffered a minor traumatic brain injury and because of this has fatigue and memory issues and he has struggled to pass this exam. He has had incredible improvement over the last year and we are confident he will pass this next time, but it is still hard and a disappointment.

Our house is on the market and we thought we finally had good news and received a full price offer. Then last week the buyer backed out, after we had signed a year lease for a new place a few days prior.

And now, my uncle who has been on the heart transplant list got the call Thursday they found him a heart. They did the heart transplant yesterday and it seemed to be doing well.  But today he had a setback and went into cardiac arrest. He is back on the heart and lung machine, but we don't know if he lost oxygen and blood to his brain.

I am so ready for life to just stop sucking.

  • I am so sorry for all of the unfortunate things that have happened in your life recently.  I feel the same way.  It really does seem that when it rains, it pours.  I need a new job desperately, and I was totally counting on quitting when the baby was born and looking for a new one on maternity leave.  And now I cringe going to work every day knowing I shouldn't have to be there.  I was supposed to be home in June taking care of Ava.

I truly hope things get better for you, hun.  Hang in there and try to focus on the positives in your life.  It has to get easier...  That's what I keep telling myself!
