I just hurt!!

I traveled last week only 5 hour drive away, I didn't do anything to strenous just some short walks. Yesterday we drove home and I was very sore I didn't think anything of it because of the traveling. My only thought was I pushed it and go home to rest. Well, I am still sore abdominal, pelvic and vaginal area! Yesterday and today I have had nausea and decreased appeite. My doctors office doesn't have an on call if there are after hours issues they just want you to go to L&D. I looked up the things I am feeling (which I hate doing) and says signs of pre term labor. I am 34 weeks with GD and few other things, it is also my 3rd pregnancy. I don't like going to L&D but on top of these things I have mentioned I am extremely (way more then normal in this pregnancy) fatigued and just feel "blah".

My doctors appointment is Monday first thing in morning but debating trip to L&D

Re: I just hurt!!

  • This happened to me a couple weeks ago when i went out of town. More contractions, menstrual like cramps, achy crotch, etc. We went to my SIL's house for the weekend 3 hours away and I thought it may be PTL but contractions weren't progressing, they were very irregular. I waited for my prenatal appt 2 days later and she said it was two things: I pushed myself causing contractions and baby dropped causing the menstual like cramps. I also have an irritable ute and separated symphysis pubis so contractions and pain in crotch are normal for me.

Are you having contractions? If you're worried there's no harm in going in. So what if you get sent home? Happens all the time.

  • Are you achy anywhere else? Limbs, joints? If yea, if get your thyroid levels checked.

It seems like anytime there is a small pain anything you look up will tell you it's preterm labour. I mean yes it could be, but more likely it's just regular aches and pains. I wouldn't stress about it unless you notice spotting and/or contractions.
