Trying to Get Pregnant

Wandering mind

Hi there. I'm 21 years old. I have a normal cycle. Always start my period the day it's supposed to with a little spotting before and after and a little breast tenderness at the very beginning. I ovulated around 5/26, my period is due on 6/9. I started spotting on 6/3 and have been spotting ever since. I also have had breast pain since I started spotting. The spotting has been mainly brown in color with a little red the first day of spotting and a little red last night. This is all very unusual for me. Never had any symptoms like this. Took a hpt yesterday morning and it was negative. I know it still might be a little early just wondering what it could be. Any ideas?

Re: Wandering mind

  • I am not really sure this is the place for you since its a TTC board but i think it Could be your period coming early.

  • Sounds like a wonky cycle to me. You're regular until one day you're not. It's common for hormones to start changing around your age.

  • It sounds like you're spotting.  Don't read anything into it.

Why not? Because of her age? Hmm

  • I am ttc. I have a husband who I have been with for 6 years and have been married to for 2 years. He is active duty military so we have a stable income and health insurance. So I do think this is the place for me.

I'd suggest you read the newbie link and the TTC blog then. It might only be a wonky cycle.

You can still test if you want, but a negative HPT is negative.

    Welcome and GL.

  • Spotting happens, you said yourself you often spot before or after your period. I spot a lot, sometimes it's heavier, sometimes lighter, sometimes more red, sometimes more brown or pink. It's nothing to worry about.

  • I've just always counted on being regular. Since I started my period when I was 11 it's always been the same. And I've never spotted for 6 days. Thank you all for your replies
