***Children mentioned***
Good lord....I was talking with a dear friend of mine who lives in Florida. She is aware of my infertility struggles and she has somewhat been a support for me, but not consistently. She just announced about a month ago that she is pregnant with her second. Well, her family (her young child, herself and her husband) are all vegans and they are big into juicing and all this sort of crap, that is SO not me. I can't be denied a massive greasy cheeseburger.
Well, I was talking with her last night and just gave her a brief update on where we are at in our journey and she went on to tell me that I should try to become vegan. She told me that her body has never felt better and maybe my body needs a boost. She mentioned that a lot of processed foods harm your body and does not help with getting pregnant. What the fluck?! I am NOT going to change to vegan and where the hell is she getting this research?! I just felt like she was degrading me and telling me that I am not taking care of my body and this is why I'm not pregnant yet.
I completely respect people who choose this life style, but pushing it on others is so flucking annoying, it bugs the sh!t out of me and especially when its thrown at me in regards to infertility. I know its important to be healthy when going through this journey, but I don't think it would hurt to eat a slice of cheese or a big juicy burger.....ughhhhh, vent over.
Re: I don't think becoming a vegan will help solve PCOS....seriously??
Geez. Some people have no clue. Sorry. Seems like this has been the week for all of the extra stupid comments. ((HUGS))

IMO - You can eat a lot of processed food when you're vegan (tofu doesn't grow in trees doesn't it?), and eat lots of real food on an Omnivorous diet.
Anyway, I hate any people that tries to push their food beliefs onto other people. You want to be vegan or paleo? Good for you.

I am vegan and have been so for 12yrs and it has not helped me at all. Living this lifestyle is a choice, which is not for everyone. I am the only vegan in my family/ friends and I would never try to throw my believes about food and lifestyle onto someone else unless they ask me. But that's just me.
