3rd Trimester

Brag time!

I am awesome and my husband doesn't quite understand just how awesome I am. I am still/currently doing all this:

  • Schlepping 50+ pound boxes at work (picking up off the floor and stacking over my head kind of handling.)
  • Working 40+ hours a week with everyday box schlepping
  • Keeping the house clean
  • Making dinner almost every night
  • Mowing the lawn
  • Tilling, planting and hoeing the 30' x 30' garden
  • And I'm making a HUMAN BEING

Sadly, I cannot do any decent weeding. Apparently that small task remains literally "beyond my reach".

How are you ladies being unappreciatedly awesome lately?

Re: Brag time!

  • Good for you! I wanna brag that I am still working 40 hours a week overdue!

  • Wow! I'm very impressed. I was able to do a lot of physical stuff with my first pregnancy. I assembled the crib & changing table on my own. Painted the baby's room while DH slept on the couch. Ripped out the carpet in a closet and put tiles down (the adhesive kind). All around 34 weeks. Guess that burst of energy and overwhelming urge to nest is true because DS was born at 37 weeks. :) With this pregnancy (my 3rd) I have a very short fuse and am quick to blurt out my opinion. People have asked me a few times if I took a bitchy pill in the morning. So not me normally. I'm actually holding back my opinions/comments about 70% of the time. If they only knew. Anyhow, I think that is worth bragging about. I am very proud of that. :)
  • I'm taking the equivalent of 18 credits this summer session, and I'll be doing the same next session! But really that's it. You ladies are superwomen!

  • I literally bow down to our awesomeness. Absolutely no sarcasm.  I cannot imagine that at this point.

I am on mat leave already, and I've been a lazy butt the past few days. :)

I think it's brag worthy when I manage to get a shower and put on make-up LOL!

I am right there with you! I think working full time, gestating a child, and managing to not look horrible are AMAZING accomplishments. :-)

To OP, you are a rock star!

  • Hey, whatever we can do at this point seems brag worthy. I don't do the pretty anymore, I just go for functional. I've always been more of a draft horse than anything else and my legs are definitely starting to look as hairy as a horses, lol!

  • That is awesome! I am just impressed when I am able to greet my dh at 5 pm showered and dressed in actual clothes. He reminded me that our children should probably be dressed too. It has been pj day for about 6 months now!
