I know I just posted for opinions but I decided to do a poll. Sorry to be a PW today! Spellings probably won't change. Last name starts with a J and rhymes with Lincolns. Shae is finally a FN we are both head over heals for. Sophia and Josephine are family names. Iris is just a name we like. So which one do you prefer?

I think we've pretty much agreed on Shae. Thanks for the suggestion though. It may change to Shea, we haven't totally settled on that.

Sorry, just reread your OP saying you weren't looking for spelling suggestions... comprehension fail on my part.
Same.
That's okay. I'm always open to suggestions.

That's my struggle and the meaning behind Sophia keeps it on the list too.

Put my marble in the Josephine jar! For what it's worth (assuming it's pronounced "Shay"), your spelling "Shae" made perfect sense to me, and "Shea" made none. Maybe because I live in an area with lots of Asian names, and that's probably how it would be spelled based on those conventions? (I'd pronounce the other one She-uh or Shay-uh.)
ETA: From your name--is your husband named Shane?
His name is Shane! We didn't even think of that when we thought of Shae.

Ha ha, no wonder you like it then!
