Thank you rain

I need to take DD to get her blood drawn, and I really didn't want to so I'm glad it's raining. She's so traumatized from all of the poking and prodding that's been done to her that she has a melt down before people even touch her.

The stress makes her skin flare up, and it's already in horrible shape right now. I'm just really over this whole severe eczema/allergies crap, and I don't know if I can deal with this for 10+ more years especially with this other baby on the way and my husband being "absent".

Re: Thank you rain

  • Aw :( My niece is 2 and I took her to a dr apt once to just get shots and she cried and cried, just scared to death. I wanted to drag the dr outta the room and run her out of there as fast as I could. Idk how I'm going to do it with my kid :( I was tearing up just watching her.

And speaking of rain, I'm sooo over it! It has been raining every other day and sometimes every day for the past like three weeks here! And when it does every one freaks out because of all the tornados that have been going on. I'm pretty tired of it lol.

It's hard. Shots are ok because they are a quick stick for her. The blood draws are terrible because they take so long. Last time it took me and one of the phlebs to hold her down just so they could get the needle in. She almost had an asthma attack because she was freaking out so badly. And now anytime I tell her that we're going to the doctor she asks if she has to get her blood drawn.

It's been raining on and off here too which hasn't helped her skin any. I'm just thankful for the excuse to not have to take her out of the house today.
