Pain by belly button and just above

I have been having some tenderness by my belly button and then like right above it straight across my stomach.  Is that just my stomach growing and stretching to make room?  I know I ask tons of random questions but this is my first child so I have no idea what is normal.

I think this is normal.  I have had this throughout my entire pregnancy (my belly button has been very sensitive) and when I have mentioned to other moms they said they had the same thing, so I haven't really worried about it.

I was having this last week.  I'm paranoid that I have diastasis rectii, though (separated abdominal muscles).  It went away within a couple days, so I'm asking my midwife about it tomorrow.

It's either everything stretching, or it could be that baby is poking you with a knee or elbow, too....

I too had something like this. I had to keep going to the bathroom and checking under my shirt to make sure I didn't have a rash or a cut on my stomach. It felt like my skin was really sensitive all the way around my belly button. Mine was more of a burning skin sensation then a bruising sensation.

I had this burning sensation near the end of my last pregnancy too. I ended up with fresh stretch marks right there, ugh.
