Pointless vent

I made plans with two other mommy friends to go to the zoo today.  We only have one car so DH had to find a ride to work and I have to pick him up during nap time.  Well, this morning we see that it is going to rain at 10 so I suggested we do the indoor part and then the rest of the zoo when the chance of rain is only 20%.  They say no, so I suggest the childrens museum (has an art class today too).  They say no because a movie is filming downtown and they don't want to deal with possible traffic.

So now their bright idea is to go to the library, even though they say they want to tire their kids out.  There is a really cool indoor play place right near the library that they don't want to go to.  So I'm doing a little bit at the library and the taking her to the play place (new, clean, awesome).

Just frustrated that I went to all this trouble for the car for no reason.  And I was looking forward to the zoo.  Heck, I may take her a little more down the road to the splash park if its warm enough.
