Candy Favors or Candy Buffets?

Hello gals,

Ive been doing most of the work myself and I really need some great ideas. I live in Pembroke Pines.... Im looking for shower favors and table clothes. I am doing the whole 9 (I guess). I have about 60 people coming about now and I want something that will blow them away-I was thinking very neat favors. Any Ideas? Candles, Candy (typical) I was thinking about a candy buffet, I visited Sugarman Candy in Sunrise and they are amazing, you could get candy of any color you desire. MY THING IS- do I make candy favors or should I just make a candy buffet? The good thing with the buffet is that is serves two purpose... 1. Looks fabulous at the party, 2. serves as favors for guests to take home or have there at the party.. Im not sure what im expecting yet, therefore color is out of it. But anyways. Have anyone else did a candy table before? How many pounds of candy do I need per person etc? Your recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

Re: Candy Favors or Candy Buffets?

  • I just recently went to a baby shower that had a fabulous candy buffet table.  The color theme was pink, black and white (damask).  They had gum balls, jelly beans, Lindt Lindor chocolates, licorice sticks, and a few other candies.  Since you don't know if your LO is a boy or girl, I wouldn't worry about the colors of the candies.  Candy is supposed to be fun so why not make it colorful?  But I do agree that it adds a little extra to the decor.  But definitely expect leftovers if you do the buffet.  I had a lot of candy after my wedding! :)
