Stupid question, maybe?

Okay. This may sound like a really stupid question but I have to ask. Last night I was awakened by my sleep by my son squirming in my belly. It wasn't because he was moving in general but because the movements were feeling as if someone was scraping my stomach from the inside out with a knife or really sharp object. Is it normal to worry that little man is not gaining enough weight and that's why he is hurts me when he moves or that his sack is too thin and thats why its hurting me? I know, I sound like a moron!! Anyone else experiencing this?

I don't have any experience with scraping from the inside, but lots of bumping and wiggling that borders on painful. Sorry he's hurting you!

Hahaha OMgosh...my fiance said the same thing 2 days ago, so funny. 

OP, I'd think the opposite.  I'm sure your baby is fine and gaining the right amount of weight.  Probably just running out of room and that's why it's starting to get more painful.

Ha! The other day the baby was dragging some limb up and down and it felt like she was banging a can against the prison bars. Nobody knows, the trouble I've seen. Nobody knows my sorrow...

I have felt this too...I wondered if it were fingernails?! I don't think they get those until later. I don't know what it is but I feel your pain!
