questions about membrane sweep

HELLO! 

I am 39 weeks and 3 days, getting a membrane sweep in the morning....I was wondering how I could possibly help this get my labor started...

im 80% effaced and 3 cm dilated SO hopefully I could go into labor that night,

and also...did it work for you? & how long after?

I had my membranes swept at 1:30 in the afternoon with DD that threw me into labor and I had DD almost 24 hours later.

I had my membranes stripped/swept twice...once at 36w6d and a second time at 37w1d.

I had some light spotting after the first, but nothing else. The second time, I lost my MP later that evening, but no cramps or anything else. 

I went into labor at 37w3d, not sure if the sweep helped or not!

I had my membranes swept with both DS and DD. I had consistent contractions afterwards with both and had both kids the next day.

well i sure hope that i can go into labor soon after, im so tired of being preg this is my second one!

did you happen to walk or do anything to help it out?

I had mine swept today and I'm REALLY hoping to go into labor tonight or tomorrow. I am 39w1d, 2 1/2cm and at least 70% effaced. I even had Eggplant Parm tonight just to fulfill one extra OWT.
