Eye Twitching

I have had my upper eye lid twitch every once and a while before I got pregnant. It wouldn't last more than a few minutes. However, my upper eye lid has been twitching for 3 weeks now. Its driving me nuts!! Has this happened to anyone else? Could this possibly be from pregnancy?

I've had twitching below my eye a lot more often since getting pregnant!

Eyelid twitching is usally due to lack of sleep, too much caffeine, or stress

Eye twitching can be caused by magnesium deficiency. If you've had restless legs, too, then you're definitely magnesium deficient. Try a good calcium magnesium supplement and see if that helps.

I didnt have a reoccurring issue with this but I did have one day that my eye twitched from the second i got up till i went to bed! I didnt sleep good 2 nights in a row, after a good nights sleep it was all fixed! Are you sleeping well or stressed about anything?

Usually stress! Also can be a potassium or magnesium deficiency. See what your Dr. says about a supplement.

Thanks everyone. I have been sleeping, so I think I can count that out. But I will def ask my doctor about a supplement

Yes! I have been experiencing an eye twitch for two and a half weeks now; upper right eyelid. I read that it can be attributed to dry eye, stress, fatigue, lack of sleep, caffeine. I can't imagine myself being deficient of any particular nutrient with the strong prenatal vitamin I consume. I noticed that when I am able to get restful sleep, the twitch subsides.

This could also be from dehydration. Make sure you are getting enough water.
